Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to recipes and standards.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes served.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
- Ensure timely service by coordinating with serving staff and maintaining smooth kitchen workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and organization.
- Support restaurant management in menu development, special event preparation, and overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
- Extensive food preparation, cooking skills, and knowledge of various culinary techniques.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff members at all levels.
- Prior experience in the food industry with a focus on quality service delivery is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
