Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier and Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for creating positive shopping experiences. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are a plus, enabling effective engagement with diverse customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately and securely
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products to maximize sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell products confidently
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of merchandising principles is advantageous
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
