About this Opportunity:
As a valued team member, you will work alongside your colleagues to bring civil, marine and commercial development plans to reality. You will directly report to your assigned project manager/supervisor who will instruct you on your daily tasks. Those tasks will primarily consist of finished carpentry and general labour. The position will require leadership with apprentices, labourers etc. to help develop their skills and ensure a safe, productive worksite. Job sites are primarily in the Kingston and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Read and interpret basic drawings and instructions to support project work.
- Prepare layouts and measurements using hand and measuring tools.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials.
- Support carpentry activities including framing, roofing, formwork, and installation of building components.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, barricades, concrete forms, and other temporary structures.
- Carry, place, and install rebar, dowels, anchors, and other construction materials as required.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials around the worksite.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform site preparation, cleanup, debris removal, and general labour duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Report any observed or potential hazards immediately to their supervisor.
- Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid G driver’s license.
- 2 years skilled labour experience preferred.

- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job: standing for long periods of time; lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds; climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs; and work in rough terrain.
