The Role
We're looking for a skilled and dependable Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to work alongside our registered Physiotherapists in delivering high-quality, home-based rehabilitation services across the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, you'll carry out components of physiotherapy treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a registered PT, playing an essential role in our clients' recovery and independence.
We welcome applications from PTA diploma graduates and internationally educated physiotherapists who are not yet licensed in Ontario. If you trained as a physiotherapist outside of Canada and are building your path here, this role is a strong fit — and if you hold both a PTA diploma and an international PT background, we'd especially love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement components of physiotherapy treatment plans under the direction of a registered PT
- Carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises, mobility programs, gait training, and functional activities with clients in their homes
- Monitor client response to treatment and report observations and changes to the supervising PT
- Assist with client transfers, positioning, and safe use of mobility aids and adaptive equipment
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and client education as directed by the PT
- Document session notes and report to the supervising PT following each visit
- Maintain a professional, empathetic rapport with clients and family members
- Assist with home assessments and equipment recommendations as directed
- Travel between client homes across assigned geographic zones within the GTA
What You Bring
One of the following (required):
- Diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant from an accredited Ontario college program, OR
- A physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification from outside Canada (internationally educated physiotherapist not yet licensed in Ontario)
- Holding both a PTA diploma and an international PT background is a significant asset

- Experience working in home health, community rehabilitation, or long-term care (preferred)
- Solid understanding of physiotherapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and safe client handling
- Strong communication skills — clear, warm, and professional with clients and clinical team
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a community setting
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with documentation
- Access to a vehicle and a valid Ontario driver's licence
- CPR/First Aid certification
