Job Overview
Our client in the Hamilton area is seeking a skilled Double Deep Walkie Operator/Shipper to join their warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and reach trucks, with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and distribution processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting e-commerce and warehouse distribution activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate Double Deep Walkie, Counterbalance, Cherry Picker and Dockstocker forklift trucks and walkie forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Manage order picking and order fulfillment processes accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP systems
- Manage to load/ unload freight
- Verify shipping accuracy of documents and prepare staging areas
- Order picking/ packing, inspecting quality control, RF Scanning, processing cycle counts, and shipment processing
- Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, ensuring timely processing of inbound and outbound freight
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation
- Support warehouse distribution activities, including stock replenishment and inventory management and follow safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet daily productivity goals
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Double Deep Walkie, Counterbalance, Cherry Picker and Dockstocker forklift is mandatory
- Valid external forklift certification or relevant training is mandatory
- 3+ years of Shipping/ Receiving
- Proven experience operating forklift equipment and with shipping logs and documentation
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, or similar platforms
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or order fulfillment preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and proper equipment handling
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Payrate
$23.55/hr
