Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating extrusion machinery, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role offers opportunities to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and develop technical skills in a fast-paced production setting. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, familiarity with machining processes, and experience in quality inspection to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate extrusion machines and related equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to prevent downtime
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection of finished products
- Assist with assembly processes as needed to meet production goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of production data and machine settings
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement
- Utilize forklift and CNC lathe equipment when required for material handling or machining tasks
- Ensure compliance with quality standards through regular inspection and testing
- Follow warehouse procedures for inventory management and material movement
Experience
- Previous experience operating extrusion or other manufacturing machinery preferred
- Familiarity with CNC machines, CNC lathe, and machining processes beneficial
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and hand tools required
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus
- Understanding of quality inspection techniques and use of calipers necessary
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles advantageous
- Basic math skills essential for measurements and calculations in production processes

Pay: $18.37-$28.49 per hour
