Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Job description
- Hauling between AB and BC most of the time
- Local work as required
- Most of our loads are AB, BC and SK but not limited to this
- You must be flexible to stay for 2-3 nights at once if needed
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment, including automotive repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must need minimum of 3 years of class 1 experience
- Knowledge of freight handling, securement, and loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning.
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members and dispatchers.
This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery in freight transportation operations.
Pay: $6,500.00-$7,500.00 per month
