Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing educational programs, supervising children, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times.
- Support individual learning needs, including working with children with disabilities, to promote inclusive education.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including preparing materials and cleaning up after activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational atmosphere.
- Support the implementation of curriculum plans related to foundational skills such as math and communication.
- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children through guidance and modeling.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred.
- Experience in teaching or supporting early childhood education programs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Previous experience in working within a classroom setting or similar environment is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay: $16.75-$20.00 per hour
