Position Overview
We are seeking a CAD Designer to support our parts shop. The ideal candidate will be comfortable translating concepts, sketches, and specifications into highly accurate 2D and 3D digital models. While prior CAD setup or programming experience is an asset, we are open to training a technically inclined candidate with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing product designs using software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
- Ensuring designs meet structural, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- Creating detailed engineering drawings with precise measurements and tolerances.
- Collaborating with production teams to modify designs for easier manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD and programming is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360) is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings.
- Willingness to learn advanced CAD setup and design practices through on-the-job training.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small-team environment.
