Keystone Alley Restaurant is a well-loved spot in the heart of Stratford, Ontario, serving fresh, seasonally inspired dishes in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in quality ingredients, a strong team culture, and consistent, satisfying food. We're looking for a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen crew.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items to spec, maintaining consistency and quality on every plate
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
- Work a designated station (grill, sauté, prep, garde manger, etc.) during busy service
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Keep your station clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep work and receiving/storing deliveries as needed
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly
- Support team members during high-volume periods and pitch in wherever needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred (but we're willing to train the right person)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and safety
- Food Handler Certification an asset (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be a team player
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
