Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests
- Follow recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Strong understanding of meal preparation, serving, and kitchen operations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish presentation
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
