The Warehouse Associate role at TAS consists of daily shipping and receiving of activities within a refrigerated environment. Warehouse Associates will perform the majority of their activities within an environment that ranges from 2 degrees Celsius to roughly -22 degrees Celsius. Prospective candidates with previous experience working at cold storage facilities possessing federal certification (HACCP) or at a company with food safety certification under FSC22000 or another program will be considered to have some relevant familiarity with important job skills. Since TAS' storage and distribution business strictly deals with the food products of its customers, this is important experience we would like to emphasize.
Warehouse Associates will prepare orders, load and unload trucks, prepare CFIA inspections under the supervision of Operations Manager and CFIA Inspectors. Equipment used in the course of daily duties includes narrow-aisle double-deep reach forklift, sit-down counter-balance forklift, ride-on electric jack. Experience with these machines is critical.
Educational requirements require High School or equivalent level of achievement. First Aid or other relevant certifications are not obligatory but are considered an asset. Beyond this, dependability (Shift work takes place between 9am-5:30pm), punctuality, and diligence are valuable character traits TAS considers in candidates.
