Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader/Labourer to join our team. This role involves supervising and participating in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in irrigation, gardening, and landscape work, and the ability to oversee daily operations effectively. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team while contributing to high-quality outdoor projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of labourers in various landscape maintenance and construction tasks
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance
- Perform gardening duties including planting, pruning, mulching, and general horticultural care
- Ensure the proper execution of landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, edging, and debris removal
- Assist with construction-related tasks including site preparation and material handling
- Maintain safety standards and ensure team compliance with company policies
- Coordinate daily work schedules and assign tasks to team members
- Monitor project progress and report on completion status to management
Experience
- Prior experience in irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction practices related to landscaping projects is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Hands-on experience with landscape tools and equipment is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as needed
