The opportunity
We are looking for a warm, organized and sales-minded Studio Receptionist to support the daily client experience at our West Vancouver studio. You will be one of the first people our clients meet. This role combines front-desk service, booking administration, payment processing and thoughtful sales support.
What you'll do
· Welcome clients and create a calm, polished first impression.
· Manage class bookings, changes, cancellations, waitlists and client accounts.
· Check clients in and support smooth transitions between sessions.
· Process payments accurately and operate the point-of-sale system.
· Answer phone, email, direct-message and in-person inquiries.
· Explain classes, private training, packages and studio services clearly.
· Help prospective clients select the most appropriate starting option.
· Follow up with inquiries and support package and membership sales.
· Work toward agreed sales targets and participate in the applicable commission program.
· Support instructors and maintain an organized front-desk environment.
· Help keep shared studio spaces welcoming, tidy and client-ready.
· Escalate client concerns appropriately and maintain confidentiality.
What you bring
· Fluent, professional spoken and written English.
· A warm, confident and client-focused communication style.
· Strong organization and attention to detail.
· Comfort using booking software, payment systems, email and basic office tools.
· The ability to explain services and make recommendations without using high-pressure sales tactics.
· Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently.
· Availability for at least 20 hours per week.
· Legal authorization to work in Canada and the ability to commute reliably to West Vancouver.
Previous experience in reception, hospitality, retail, customer service, sales or a fitness/wellness studio is preferred. An interest in Pilates, movement and wellness is an asset.
Compensation and employment
· Base wage: $20 per hour
· Additional sales commission when established targets and commission conditions are met
This is a part-time employee position governed by a written employment agreement. Commission is paid in addition to the base hourly wage.
