TRUCK MECHANIC
URGENTLY REQUIRED A TRUCK MECHANIC!
Peace Transportation is looking to expand its operation by adding additional personal on Morning shift. Individuals must have knowledge of MTO and Highway Traffic Act. Job Details/Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs , replacement and adjustments on fleet equipment.
- Return defective parts and follow up with Parts coordinator as required
- Diagnose and repair any unit brought into the shop.
- Review documentation and or repair order to ensure all required information on repair order is accurate legible and complete.
- Alignment of tyres
- Inspecting each unit for any defects, missing paperwork, loose parts etc.
- Check all repaired work to ensure that vehicles are in good and safe operating condition.
- Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order and ensure the parts person is aware of stock taken
- Maintain a clean and safe work area e.g.
- Clean up any scrap/garbage, ensure hoses/cords are rolled up and store correctly
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Engine Diagnostic skills an asset (FRHT(FM2)(CSC)) & VOLVO ( VVN) perfered.
Qualification & Skills:
- Hands-on experience in shop processes atleast valid 2 years.
- Understand and adhere to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.
- Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with positive attitude.
