We are looking for an experienced, part time Childminding Worker who is a high-energy person, able to focus on large group situations while being able to identify and meet individual needs. This person enjoys the company of children and is able to provide appropriate play experiences with a variety of activities and materials. Safety and hygiene is key in this work setting. Shifts will be evenings and weekends. Hours will be 15-20 hrs/week.
Key Accountabilities
1. Take actions to ensure the safe well-being of the individual children in care.
2. Provide appropriate play experiences with a variety of activities and materials for the enjoyment of children.
3. Provide and maintain a clean safe environment by following the cleaning schedule.
4. Respond to the needs of each child.
5. Establish and maintain good habits of toileting and hygiene.
6. Follow Health and Safety bulletins.
7. Maintain accurate day sheet records and statistic sheets.
8. Report all problems to the Childminding Supervisor and inform the supervisor of needed materials and supplies.
9. Review the daybook for problems, messages and concerns.
10. Follow the guidelines as set out in the area standards.
11. Complete incident reports as needed.
12. Dedication to personal professional development opportunities in the childcare field.
13. Communicate needs and share responsibilities with coworkers.
Knowledge & Skills Required
1. Sensitive, mature, and able to relate well to both children and adults.
2. Customer service oriented and a team player.
3. Positive attitude, friendly and neat appearance.
4. Lifting and carrying demands are required; the ability to bend at the waist, stoop, twist, stand, walk and sit frequently. The ability to lift/push/pull/carry between 10 to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
1. Related childcare experience
2. Level Early Childhood Educator 1 or 2 would be an assest
3. Current Standard First Aid and CPR
