The Opportunity
Titan York is a Toronto-based commercial real estate brokerage focused exclusively on representing businesses, not landlords, in office, retail, and industrial transactions across the GTA.
We are hiring a Business Development Representative to identify prospective clients and book qualified meetings with business owners and senior decision-makers.
This is a high activity outbound sales position. It is best suited to someone who is comfortable on the phone, motivated by measurable results, and interested in developing a long-term career in commercial real estate.
For the right person, this can be more than an appointment-setting job. You will receive hands-on training, exposure to active transactions, and the opportunity to progress toward an advisory or licensed commercial real estate role. Pursuing that path is encouraged but not required.
What You’ll Do
- Make approximately 75 outbound calls per day to GTA businesses
- Research prospective companies, decision-makers, locations, and lease information
- Identify businesses approaching a potential real estate decision
- Book three to four qualified meetings per week
- Conduct in-person building walks and prospecting approximately one to two times per week
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and follow-up records in Pipedrive
- Participate in weekly sales coaching, training, role playing, and performance reviews
- Work closely with senior commercial real estate advisors to improve prospecting and qualification skills
- Consistently meet established activity, meeting, and pipeline targets
A qualified meeting is generally one involving an appropriate decision-maker whose commercial lease is expected to expire within approximately 18 months.
Compensation
- $50,000 annual base salary
- Additional performance-based compensation
- Target total annual earnings of approximately $80,000
Compensation above the base salary is performance-dependent and not guaranteed.
Career Development
This role is designed to provide a potential development path:
Business Development Representative → Junior Advisor → Commercial Real Estate Agent
High performers may have the opportunity to:
- Participate in live client assignments and deal teams
- Learn tenant representation, site selection, lease negotiation, and transaction execution
- Develop the skills required to manage client relationships
- Progress into an advisory position
- Pursue registration as a commercial real estate agent
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cold-calling, outbound sales, appointment-setting, or business-development experience
- Confidence speaking with business owners and senior executives
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Resilience and the ability to handle frequent rejection
- Consistent work habits and comfort operating in a metrics-driven environment
- Strong organization and attention to CRM accuracy
- Coachability and a genuine willingness to improve
- Interest in commercial real estate and business to business sales
Experience in commercial real estate is not required.
Who This Role Is For
This may be a strong fit if you enjoy competition, measurable goals, direct coaching, and building relationships from a cold start.
It will not be a good fit if you dislike outbound calling, resist performance targets, or expect to move immediately into transactional real estate work without first proving yourself in prospecting.
