Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Refinisher to join our automotive repair team. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with various tools, and a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. The Auto Body Refinisher sands, masks, primes and refinishes the vehicle as per the relevant insurance guidelines. The Refinisher works with all members of the Auto Body team to ensure high quality work and satisfied customers. A strong detail orientation and accuracy of work are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing by sanding, masking, and applying primer as needed, using hand and power tools
- Identify any dirt or imperfection on surface of vehicle
- Apply all primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats and clear coats using spray guns or hand tools
- Evaluate bodywork to ensure a quality paint job
- Ensure consistent execution of tasks by adhering to high standards of quality and productivity
Requirements:
- Experience working with automotive paint, primers, fillers, and finishing techniques (minimum of 3 years experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and a focus on quality craftmanship
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage assigned work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, accountable, and team-focused
- Positive, no-excuses, get-it-done attitude
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 50 lbs
