POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure clean, orderly, and welcoming accommodations for hotel guests. This role conducts ongoing quality control inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards while monitoring, evaluating, and supporting the performance of housekeeping staff.
The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures exceptional cleaning standards by monitoring inventory levels and the condition of furnishings, fixtures, appliances, and dishware. The role also takes corrective action when quality deficiencies are identified and promptly reports maintenance and safety concerns.
Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and overall property standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality cleaning and guest satisfaction.

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and staff work areas to ensure standards are met and to identify any issues that need attention.

Schedule and assign daily cleaning duties to staff and ensure proper allocation of resources.

Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment and order as necessary.

Respond to guest complaints and resolve any housekeeping-related issues.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

Participate in the development and implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on departmental operations and performance.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the seamless operation of the hotel.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager/General Manager.
Job Requirements

2+ years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with 1 year in a supervisory role.

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures.

Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service standards.

Ability to lead a team and motivate staff to meet performance expectations.

Comfortable with Hotel programs such as HMS and computer programs such as excel.

Position entails bending, crouching, working on the knees, standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.

The Housekeeping Supervisor must also be able to move quickly and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
