We are seeking EXPERIENCED ONLY, self-motivated, truck drivers to join our team.
The ideal candidate for this position has to have at least 2 Year experience/knowledge with a valid Class 1 license and can drive a manual transmission in order to be considered. They must demonstrate they can drive safely, keep their attention on the road, and ensure that their cargo reaches its destination.
You will need to be able to manage your own schedule, confident behind the wheel of a commercial truck and have the ability to multitask with multiple responsibilities. Follow all safety regulations, need to be comfortable with using an electronic ELD, and be able to communicate effectively with other drivers in the field. The ideal candidate NEEDS to be comfortable with sudden mechanical issues that may arise and troubleshoot in the field.
You would be home most nights of your shift, however there is the chance that you would be away from home for a night or two during your shift.
This position entails deck work, and occasionally light tarping.
Responsibilities:
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
- Follow directions without any supervision.
- Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns.
- Communicate and coordinating with dispatcher.
- Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspection reports
- Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with all regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations and comply with all companies polices and procedures.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
- Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (ELD).
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
