Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
- Upsell related products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention and optimize product placement
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, including phone etiquette when assisting remote or online inquiries
- Keep track of inventory levels, restock shelves as needed, and assist with basic math calculations for transactions
- Follow organizational procedures for cash handling, balancing registers at shift end, and documenting sales activities
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Technical sales experience or familiarity with product demonstrations enhances effectiveness in this role
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation, are crucial for success
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Customer service experience that showcases patience, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities
