Award-winning design-build renovator Vaughan / GTA Full-time
For 25 years, Sosna has turned outdated homes into spaces people fall back in love with. We do fixed-price, whole-home renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, and additions for homeowners who plan to stay put. Our promise is peace of mind: exceptional craftsmanship, on time and on budget, every time.
We recently won the CHBA National Award for Best Home Renovation in Canada. That's the level we work at.
We hold the homeowner's hand from the first meeting to the final reveal. Our clients are often nervous about renovating. Your job is to make them feel safe, understood, and excited.
You are the client's main point of contact from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. You listen, you understand their vision, you sell the project, and you stay involved through design and construction so what was sold is what gets built.
But before any of that, you have to fill your own pipeline. This is not an order-taker role.
- Hunt for business. You don't wait for the phone to ring. You generate your own leads, follow up fast, and keep your pipeline full. Referrals are a bonus, not your whole plan.
- Call past clients and ask for referrals. Regularly. Without being told twice. This is one of the easiest ways we grow, and we need someone who's comfortable picking up the phone and asking.
- Set your own targets and hit them. You know your numbers, you set clear goals, and you hold yourself to them. Nobody should have to chase you for a forecast.
- Ask direct questions. You're comfortable getting to the real budget, the real timeline, and the real decision-makers early. You name the next step at the end of every meeting instead of leaving it vague.
- Run a clear sales process. Every conversation ends with a defined outcome. You don't let deals drift.
- Stay involved after the sale. Work with our design team on space planning and selections, coordinate with the construction PM, make site visits, and solve problems before they blow up.
- Keep Buildertrend updated. Every project change, every selection, logged and communicated.
- The work matters. Every project genuinely changes how a family lives. You'll see it on their faces at the reveal.
- You get a real say. Bring ideas and solutions. We listen, and good ones get used.
- You're part of the design. You help shape each project, not just sell it, and you see your ideas come to life.
- Strong team behind you. Designers, estimators, and PMs who take pride in the work and make you look good.
- Real coaching and growth. One-on-one training with the owner and the team for your first 90 days, and ongoing coaching after. We invest in people who invest back.
- Base salary plus commission. Realistic total earnings of $100,000+ (base depends on experience).
- Growth opportunities (lead your own sales team)
- Vehicle allowance opportunity.
- Paid bi-weekly.
- Flexible hours with some work-from-home when it suits the schedule. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:30, but client evenings and weekends come with the territory.
- Incredible customer service (we are people pleasers)
- 3-5 years of sales experience in residential renovation, construction, or interior design.
- Residential construction knowledge. A design or architectural-tech background is a strong asset, not a must.
- Excellent written and spoken English. You'll write proposals, letters, and emails.
- Sharp attention to detail. Estimating and budgeting accuracy matters.
- Ability to read architectural drawings (AutoCAD/Revit a plus, not required).
- A reliable vehicle. It's your second office.
- Comfort working under pressure and hitting deadlines while still being someone clients enjoy.
Please save us both the time. Don't apply if:
- You only feel comfortable when leads come to you by referral.
- The idea of cold outreach or calling past clients makes you want to hide.
- You need someone else to set your goals and remind you to hit them.
- You go quiet or vague when it's time to ask for the budget, the sale, or the referral.
- You take coaching, nod along, agree it makes sense and then change nothing. We coach hard. We need someone who acts on it, not just understands it.
- You need a rigid 9-to-5 and can't flex for the odd client evening or weekend.
If you read that list and felt called out, this isn't the role. If you read it and thought "finally, a company that gets it," we want to hear from you.
Send your resume and a short cover letter telling us why you're the right fit, along with your salary expectations, to Rosie Rooke at [email protected].
We thank everyone who applies, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted. No drop-ins or phone calls, please.
