Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Loader Operator/Pit Manager to oversee daily operations at our Pit. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, safety protocols, and site management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, excavators, and Screeners. The Loader Operator/Pit Manager will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety standards are upheld throughout the worksite.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, excavators, Screeners with precision and safety.
- Manage pit operations including material loading and unloading to optimize productivity.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with construction teams to facilitate smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Oversee safety procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Assist with horizontal drilling and paving activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and operational logs.
- Support the training of new operators in equipment handling and safety procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes in a construction or mining environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with horizontal drilling, paving, or other specialized construction activities is a plus.
- Commercial driving experience preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable.
- Prior experience managing pit operations or overseeing site logistics is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
