We are looking for a hardworking Skilled Labourer to support our construction projects. As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with other construction professionals, contributing to the building of quality structures from the ground up, completing renovations and upgrades to existing structures. Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting Tradespeople:
Providing support to carpenters, plumbers, painters, and other skilled workers on construction sites.
· Performing Basic Construction Tasks:
· Material Handling:
Loading and unloading materials, setting up and breaking down work areas, and ensuring proper storage of equipment and tools.
· Tool Operation:
Operating power tools, hand tools, and potentially some light machinery.
· Safety and Cleanliness:
Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
· General Labor Duties:
Performing various manual labor tasks as needed, including demolition, framing, and basic repairs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: The job is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks.
- Tool Proficiency: Competency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in following instructions and completing tasks with precision.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience: Previous experience as a laborer is preferred.
Examples of Tasks:
- Loading and unloading construction materials.
- Erecting and dismantling scaffolding and other support structures.
- Mixing and pouring concrete.
- Assisting with electrical and plumbing installations and repairs.
- Performing basic carpentry tasks.
- Cleaning up construction sites and removing debris.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a General Labourer in the construction industry preferred.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and machinery.
- Must be physically able to perform manual labor in various conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.

Pay: $17.25-$30.96 per hour
