Nedlaw Roofing is looking for a commercial roofing Project Manager to join our team!

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reporting to the Head of Production and General Manager, the Project Manager will support the needs of the production department by assisting in planning, organizing and coordinating projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead, motivate and distribute responsibilities amongst team members, effectively interact with other office staff and assist other Project Managers when needed.
- Manage labor hours, organization of manpower and assist in recruitment of crew.
- Monitor scheduling and progress of projects, maintaining and increasing production levels.
- Organize and purchase project materials, small equipment and other supplies within limits.
- Arrange for movement of equipment to jobs and assist in identifying the need for new equipment.
- Maintain customer relations, providing the highest level of customer service with a sales-minded attitude while developing lasting customer relationships.
- Attend and conduct job meetings as required.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and health and safety standards and report all concerns to the General Manager.
- Plan all construction operations, complete quotes and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Effectively coordinate with other trades and sub-contractors on site.
- Obtain drawings, permits, warranties and licenses from appropriate authorities as required by the contract.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, inspectors and other clients/associates to determine the project deliverables and to keep them satisfied and informed.
- Develop, maintain, and publish project schedules on an overall project level, and a short-term look-ahead level.
- Review and interpret all changes issued to the contract for cost, schedule, labor and manpower implications
- Effectively deal with all call-backs relating to your projects and follow-up on roof inspector reports and any action required.
- Review, monitor, forecast and effectively report all project job costs to the General Manager.
- Plan for the future, interpret weather conditions, analyze markets and competitors and keep abreast of new methods and system updates for effective organizing of projects.
- Manage roofing crews
- Hire/On board new roofing hires
- Provide direction to roofing coordinators on projects
- Complete roof reports during site visits
Education and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in construction, engineering, construction management an asset
- Experience as a Roofing Project Manager
- Management experience is considered an asset
- Roofing experience is required
Skills:
- Outstanding communication, negotiation skills and innovative creative thinking.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects at one time.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles
- Solid knowledge of MS Office applications, familiarity with construction/ project management software (experience with Jonas Management is an asset)
- Confident, and willing to collaborate and develop solutions when problems arise
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Must have clean driver’s abstract
- Heavy machinery knowledge
