Job Summary
We’re looking for a dependable, hard working Kitchen Assistant to support food prep, buffet setup, dishwashing, and kitchen organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys serving up well prepared food, staying active, organized, and being part of a hardworking hospitality team focused on creating a smooth and welcoming guest experience.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of chef or kitchen manager
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Wash dishes, utensils, serving equipment, and kitchen items
- Handle food items safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Support in buffet setup, serving food to customers or guests as needed
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service hours
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Support garbage removal and end-of-shift cleaning
- Help maintain kitchen sanitation and food safety standards
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner when needed
- Support an organized, efficient, and positive dining experience for guests
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently with a positive attitude
- Hospitality-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Basic understanding of food service operations and safety protocols
