Summary
333 Trinity Men's Recovery House is seeking a part time support worker to join our team. The main role of this position is to assist participants in the preparation of evening meals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and be capable of guiding men to cook quality, wholesome, home-style meals.
*** This position is part-time 2-3 hours 5 night a week***
The main responsibility of this role is to help participants cook meals.
Responsibilities
- Support meal preparation and nutritional needs of participants.
- Lead a small group (3-4)
- Teach basic cooking skills.
- Guide participants through their meal responsibilities and clean up.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation.
- Keep a log of daily activity.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement.
- Assist in the meal planning process.
Qualifications
- Passion for cooking and helping others.
- Compassionate, patient, and excellent communication skills.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Food safe level 1 preferred.
- Basic knowledge of meal prep and menu planning.
- Knowledge of indigenous cultural and culturally safe practices.
- Basic First Aid preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of working with people in recovery a bonus.
Pay: $22.25-$25.00 per hour
