Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitorial Cleaners to join our team in James Bay and Sidney, BC. These positions are ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments.
Available Positions:
- James Bay: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours per shift)
- Sidney: Monday to Friday, after 6:00 PM (2 hours per shift)
Duties include general cleaning of commercial facilities, washrooms, offices, and common areas. Previous cleaning experience is an asset, but training will be provided. We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure restrooms are sanitized regularly
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks to ensure safety and functionality of the environment
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation is a plus for scheduled shifts
- Ability to work during evening hours for the Office Cleaner position in Sidney, BC
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality assurance
