Job Summary:
This carpenter position is with the Hickory Dickory Decks Grimsby/ Welland franchise and involves building custom decks and roof structures from supplied plans and materials. We are Canadas leader in low maintenance decking therefore most our decks are built using these various materials. This is a full-time seasonal position that will extend from approximately March- December each year.
Responsibilities:
- Build custom decks and structures
- Framing, deck, rail and roof construction
- Involved with building inspectors and permits
- Maintain a clean worksite
- Interaction with homeowners
- Tear downs and removals
- Material moves, pick ups and deliveries
- Material take off and delivery schedules may be required
Qualifications:
- Licensed carpenter
- Construction experience required (5-10 years ideal)
- Supply own tools (Trailer with large and specialty tools supplied if needed)
- Must have vail G or G2 drivers license and own transportation
- Communication skills needed for dealing with managers and customers.
- Great leadership qualities
- Self-motivated
- Must be able to read plans and have good math skills
- Strong work ethic towards building and expanding the company
- Works well with others and able to take on a leadership role
- Mentor and train apprentices

Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
