Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely delivery
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests professionally
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards in the food industry
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members in a fast-paced setting
- Upselling techniques to enhance guest experience while increasing sales opportunities
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and restaurant operations is advantageous
