Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a client in Port Coquitlam for a full-time, permanent Extrusion Machine Operator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking for long-term career growth and advancement.
Schedule
12-hour Rotating Shift
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotation:
- 2 days on, 2 days off
- 3 days on, 2 days off
- 2 days on, 3 days off
- Day and night shifts rotate every two weeks.
- Reliable transportation is required due to the rotating schedule.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery
- Package finished products and build pallets
- Perform material handling, loading/unloading, and shop organization
- Prepare dies, clean equipment, and assist with machine setup
- Change dies according to production requirements
- Complete quality inspections and record production data
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report breakdowns
- Maintain inventory of raw materials
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
What We're Looking For
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and participate in training
