Payroll Operations:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Payroll Operations professional for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Payroll Operations - Job Description:
This role involves providing day-to-day operational support for payroll functions, including managing end-to-end payroll processes and supporting expatriate assignments. The position requires collaboration across various teams to ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. payroll regulations.
Payroll Operations - Responsibilities:
- Balance all year-end tax slips and complete year-end government filings
- Support expatriate assignments and globally mobile employees
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Provide customized payroll and year-end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team
- Manage end-to-end Board of Directors’ payrolls
- Identify, review, and prepare POIs for reconciliation as needed
- Respond to employee inquiries through ServiceNow cases
Payroll Operations - Mandatory Skills:
- Working knowledge of WORKDAY (reporting)
- Expat experience of 3 years
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. payroll regulations
- Report Reconciliation principles experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
Payroll Operations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation (or working towards completion) PCP
- Experience working for a large organization
- Previous banking experience
Payroll Operations – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.
