Job Statement:
As the Maintenance Team Leader, the person is the primarily responsible for the general maintenance including execution of Daily, P.M. and any other requested Work Orders, of all facility and production equipment. Also acts as Team Leader of the assigned Maintenance Team. Directs and coaches the designated maintenance personnel to achieve the goals and complete the tasks in an efficient and timely manner with respect to the Health and Safety, G.M.P. and all other policies and regulations in effect.
Essential Functions
- Lead the designated maintenance team on the shift, ensure parts availability and schedule the work to ensure that setup, repairs, preventative maintenance and all other tasks are performed on time and in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Management representative for covering the maintenance activity over the shifts, following the Maintenance Supervisory Continuity Plan, by implementing the Management directions for the shift, assign and report maintenance activity as per CMMS program.
- Ensure proper materials / parts are committed and used, estimate and advise any potential safety including proper PPE needed, develop the risk assessment for the tasks, provide technical support and instructions.
- Review daily production requirements, collaborate with the other departments for on time completion of tasks and jobs assignment.
- Issue, assign, close W/O and forward the open tasks, arrange for the shift handover and continuity with the next shift supervisor / team lead and report the activity accordingly.
- Evaluate, coach and provide training for the maintenance personnel as per the Maintenance Internal Evaluation program, in order to achieve the best results and maintain the required standards for the maintenance team work.
- Tighten up work schedules to reduce overtime and eliminate the need for rework.
- Responsible for the designated team compliance with GMP, HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.
- Review daily production requirements.
- Ensure maintenance personnel is following CMMS work orders, fill up and submit all the required forms.
- All other duties as required.
Job Specifications
- Must possess a Certificate of Skilled Trade (Millwright or Electrician)
- Automation and PLC programming is considered an asset
- Ability to maintain working relationship with coworkers and subordinates.
- Available for shift work
- Must have 5 years of relevant work experience
