Calgary Italian Bakery Ltd. is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to work part-time in our Deli Shop. If you have experience in food and sandwich preparation and are excited about working in customer service with a small team of dedicated employees in a fast paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Job Details:
- We are looking for part-time help to assist with our busy lunch time rush on some weekdays and some Saturdays or when scheduling requires.
- Our Deli and Retail Store offers customers a variety of prepared food which includes made-to-order sandwiches, fresh pizza prepared daily, soups, hot sandwiches or specialty pasta offered daily. We also offer fresh breads, pastry and snacks.
- Our Deli Workers are required to provide excellent customer service by exceeding the customer expectations and producing fresh quality products in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Company Policies and Procedures which include proper Food Safety Practices.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Controlling product and ingredient quality and portion size.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area.
- Preparation of fresh made-to-order sandwiches and deli items.
- Preparation of Hot Daily Lunch Specials and soups
- Receiving and stocking incoming supplies and inventory.
- Prepping product for lunch by cutting meat and cheese and other ingredients.
- Stocking shelves with product.
- Operation of cash register and related equipment.
- Answering phone calls and taking customer phone orders in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Develop strong product knowledge to be able to answer customer product inquiries.
Qualifications
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Able to work on your feet for long period of time.
- Able to lift 20 lbs. at a time.
- Previous experience working in a deli or restaurant with the preparation of sandwiches, soups and hot meals is an asset.
- Food handling experience is an asset.
- Able to think on your feet and ensure great customer experience is achieved for each person that comes through the door while ensuring compliance with company directives and guidelines.
