Food Banks Alberta is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Part-Time Delivery Driver to support our provincial food distribution network. Based in Leduc, this role involves operating a 10-ton refrigerated truck (reefer) to deliver food donations and essential supplies to member food banks across Alberta, helping ensure communities receive the support they need. The individual in this role is an important part of a strong, supported warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 10‑ton reefer truck for scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Confidently use electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately track hours of service and maintain compliance
- Load and unload pallets, cases, and assorted food items using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Complete delivery routes across Alberta, including rural and urban locations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and vehicle inspection reports
- Communicate clearly with warehouse staff and member food banks regarding delivery timing and any issues encountered
- Uphold Food Banks Alberta’s values of respect, dignity, and community service in all interactions
- Support general warehouse tasks as needed, including sorting, staging, and inventory movement
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 licence with clean 5-year Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Experience operating larger vehicles (10-ton preferred). Proof of experience driving a similar size of vehicle will be required by our insurer.
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Strong reliability, professionalism, and customer-service mindset.
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Basic technology use – comfortable using mobile apps, scanners, or electronic logging systems
- Ability to regularly lift up to fifty (50) pounds and perform physical tasks safely.
