Job Summary
Courtyard by Marriott London is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening leadership team.
This role is responsible for leading housekeeping operations, maintaining Marriott brand cleanliness standards, developing associates, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from opening day onward.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping and laundry operations
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and quality standards
- Conduct room inspections and quality assurance checks
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates
- Create schedules based on occupancy and business demands
- Manage inventory, supplies, and departmental expenses
- Coordinate maintenance concerns with Engineering and Operations teams
- Ensure workplace safety and proper chemical handling procedures
- Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements
- Support pre-opening activities and operational readiness initiatives
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of housekeeping leadership experience within hotels or hospitality operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing teams and maintaining service standards
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Marriott brand experience is considered a strong asset
- Previous Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager experience preferred
- Pre-opening hotel experience considered an asset
