Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated,mature Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and supporting the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and knowledge of merchandising, cashiering, and customer service. Multilingual abilities and experience with gardening or horticulture are considered valuable assets. Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Maintain merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to attract customer attention
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed to ensure product availability
- Support landscape maintenance and gardening tasks when required to enhance store presentation
- Handle cashiering duties efficiently, ensuring quick and accurate checkout processes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and creating a welcoming environment
- Support e-commerce operations by assisting with online order fulfillment and related tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising techniques
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Good interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers and team members
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and learn product knowledge efficiently
