Industrial Electrician
Work on systems most electricians never get access to.
If you're an experienced industrial electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working with automation, and seeing the direct impact of your work in the field, this is a role worth your attention.
At Enerstrux, we design, build, and install automated environmental control systems for the fresh produce industry. Our technology plays a critical role in how some of the largest grocery chains and food distributors in North America manage product quality and freshness.
These are not standard electrical installations. Every project combines electrical, mechanical, and automation systems in a fast-moving, highly technical environment.
We're looking for a Journeyman Industrial Electrician who wants more than repetitive service work or routine installs—someone who wants to work on unique systems that require real problem-solving and technical skill.
Why choose Enerstrux
Most companies offer the same basics: pay, benefits, and steady work.
We offer those too—but what makes Enerstrux different is the work itself.
You’ll work on specialized automation systems
Our equipment integrates electrical systems with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors, and automated controls. You’ll be involved in both installation and commissioning, not just pulling wire or servicing existing infrastructure.
You’ll see projects through from start to finish
From installation and wiring to system start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting, you’ll be part of the full lifecycle—not just one phase of the job.
You’ll solve real technical problems
No two systems are identical. You’ll be diagnosing and resolving control system issues in real time, working with both hardware and software in the field.
You’ll work with a team that takes pride in its work
We are built on honesty, integrity, and hard work. We hire people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and care about doing things properly the first time.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will take ownership of electrical installation, commissioning, and service work on our proprietary systems.
Your responsibilities include:
- Installing automated electrical and mechanical systems
- Wiring and assembling control panels and equipment
- Commissioning systems, including start-up, calibration, and performance testing
- Troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and automation issues in the field
- Performing service and maintenance on existing installations
- Ensuring all work meets MTX and customer safety and quality standards
- Communicating effectively with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Travelling to job sites as required across North America
What we’re looking for
We’re not looking for someone who simply follows instructions.
We’re looking for someone who understands systems, takes initiative, and can figure things out when conditions change on site.
- 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician (Red Seal preferred)
- Strong background in industrial electrical work

- Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, or similar automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with aerial lifts and boom equipment (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
What you can expect from MTX
- Competitive wages based on experience
- Benefits package
- Opportunities for advancement as the company grows
- Ongoing technical training and exposure to advanced systems
- A fast-paced environment with varied and challenging work
- Service truck provided based on experience and role requirements
- Stable work in a growing, essential industry
