Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients, assisting veterinarians with clinical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of animals in our care. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with professionalism and precision
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Collect and process samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide supportive care during hospitalization or recovery periods
- Maintain detailed medical records of all patient interactions, treatments, and laboratory results
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and clinical areas to uphold safety standards
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification
- Laboratory experience is preferred to support diagnostic testing and sample processing
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical practices, protocols, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
