Hotel Assistant Manager
Starting October 2026, Inuvik, NWT
Minimum Qualification:
· Several years of experience within the accommodation industry
Skill Requirements:
· Experience of at least one year in Office Administration
· Experience of at least one year in Housekeeping
· Experience of at least one year in guiding/assisting tours in cold climate
· Experience of at least one year in handling dogs
· Physically fit
· Skilled with Marketing on social media as well as in use of Microsoft Office
· Valid drivers license
· Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
This permanent position pays $40/hour, and you are expected to work 30 hours per week. You will receive 2 weeks vacation leave each year.
Duties:
· Participate in the development of pricing and promotional strategies
· Recruit and supervise housekeeping and office staff, oversee training and set work schedules
· Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities and equipment for hotel stays, tours and other functions
· Resolve customer complaints
· Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the department or establishment
· Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, Oversee and create advertising
· Assist/Guide Dog Sled and Snowmobile Tours
· Manage Kennel Staff, Operations and Schedule
Important Information:
· Flexibility with work hours is a must
· Employees may be required to cover visible tattoos or remove facial piercings if interacting with clients.
