Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is primarily focused on outdoor property maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, grounds upkeep, and winter snow removal services for residential and commercial properties throughout Orléans. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors in all seasons, takes pride in maintaining attractive and safe properties, and is comfortable operating a variety of tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities includes, but are not limited too:
- Provide grounds maintenance services at various residential and commercial properties throughout Orléans.
- Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, pruning, and general landscape maintenance.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and outdoor common areas.
- Complete seasonal property clean-ups, including spring and fall yard maintenance.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds maintenance tools.
- Perform snow and ice management services, including snow blowing, shoveling, salting, and sanding as required (flexible hours during winter months).
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Respond to requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ad-Hoc Projects
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, snow removal, property maintenance, or a related outdoor maintenance role is considered an asset.
- Experience operating lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and outdoor maintenance equipment.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
