HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Registered Kinesiologist performs Physical Demands Analyses (PDAs) and Ergonomic Assessments. The kinesiologist may assist in the design of Return to Work (RTW) and modified work programs for PRHC staff. The Kinesiologist oversees the musculoskeletal injury prevention program and related education for workers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
-
University undergraduate degree in Kinesiology
-
Registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Kinesiology
-
Associated courses in work capacity evaluation, ergonomic assessment
-
Knowledge of continuing Quality Improvement techniques would be an asset
-
Further education/experience in the development and delivery of adult education sessions

Three years experience in the performance of and the assessment of individuals with acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge of current medical assessment techniques and medical terminology

Demonstrated knowledge of client assessment, management and education

Good time management skills and organizational skills

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrated leadership skills

Further education in Adult Education preferred

Skills in development and delivery of Adult Education programs
