Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is primarily in-person, allowing you to work closely with clients and colleagues in our state-of-the-art facilities. However, we also offer flexible options for including remote work.
As a Social Worker at CCCBT, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals, families, and groups. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CBT and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care. This position is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative team while contributing to the betterment of mental health in our community.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based interventions, with a primary focus on cognitive behavioural therapy, to clients of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and collaborative discussions to enhance client outcomes and professional growth.
- Stay updated on advancements in CBT and related therapeutic approaches, applying them to clinical practice.
- Mentor and supervise trainees or junior team members, as needed, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers of Ontario.
- Demonstrated Expertise in Prolonged Exposure Therapy
- Experience and demonstrated competency in providing couples counselling.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering cognitive behavioural therapy interventions.
- Must be available to provide in-person psychotherapy sessions to clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring would be considered an asset.
- Formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is considered an asset.
