We are a small business going into our 8th year of operation here in downtown Toronto! We are a wax bar that aims to change the ‘norm’ when it comes to the world of waxing. We aim to cultivate a warm, welcoming and friendly environment, thats coupled with our high standards of cleanliness, leave clients feeling as if they are visiting a friends house, rather than feeling overly clinical. Our reputation is upheld by our speed, not just our friendly nature. BareSkin Wax Bar is known for completing services in as little as 15 minutes without compromising quality ( duration depending on service of course)! Job Requirements:
- Completed Esthetician diploma OR waxing certificate needed within North America (proof of completion required)
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
- Ideally previous speed waxing experience
- MUST be able to complete offered services with only hard or only soft wax (both)
- MUST be able to successfully complete Brazilian wax service independently
- Part into Full time potentially
- Exceptional communication/customer service skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong independent worker that takes initiative, and works well as a team
- Flexible schedule needed (weekends may be required)
- Extra consideration will be given to those that are able to perform threading services
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all waxing services within the allotted time frame (differs based on service and wax type)
- Uphold and create a welcoming environment
- Provide education to clients where/when needed regarding pre & post-care
- Address specific client concerns using theoretical/practical knowledge gained according to BareSkin practice standards
- Ensure waxing space is exceptionally tidy, organized and well stocked
- Assist in additional needs around the salon
- Stay proactive, ask questions! Get to know your peers, We are here for you and expect the same!
Job Offerings:
- $17.60-$18 (to be discussed)
- Any additional training required after the initial meeting and 1st day of practical demonstration will be paid at minimum wage/hr. Once self sufficient agreed upon hourly rate or commission pay will be in effect
