Description
At FIG Solar, the Residential Solar Consultant is a trusted advisor to homeowners exploring solar and battery systems for their homes. This is a full-cycle, customer-facing role focused on education, clarity, and long-term fit rather than pressure or commission chasing. You will guide homeowners from the first screening conversation through system design, proposal review, and final project handoff on installation day. As the primary point of contact, you will ensure each customer feels confident, informed, and supported throughout the entire process.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct initial screening calls to understand homeowner goals, site constraints, and energy usage.
- Design, price, and present residential solar systems using industry-specific software.
- Maintain accurate, timely records in the company CRM and follow defined sales workflows.
- Coordinate internal handoffs to operations and remain the client’s point of contact through installation.
- Represent FIG Solar professionally and confidently as the company’s primary residential sales contact.
Qualifications
- A 3 or 4-year university degree, or college diploma with equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, clear, confident, and personable in both phone and in-person settings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple active projects.
- Charisma and comfort being outward facing; you enjoy putting yourself out there and building trust.
- Willingness to learn technical and industry-specific knowledge related to solar, storage, system design, and renewable energy.
- Interest in clean energy and a desire to contribute to a growing mission-driven team.
What We Offer
- A competitive benefits package including RRSP matching, health and dental coverage, and generous vacation time, including an annual extended holiday break.
- A competitive fixed salary with a performance-based bonus structure.
- A supportive, collaborative workplace culture that respects time off and values balance and enjoyment at work.
- A customer-first, no-pressure sales environment with screened inbound leads and minimal cold calling.
- Ongoing opportunities for advancement and skill development, with clear pathways for growth and increased responsibility for high performers within the company.
