ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Training Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing Training Department. You'll work closely with our Training Coordinator and a team of full- and part-time instructors, providing the administrative backbone behind every course, program, and training session we run.
This is a brand-new position which means you'll have real ownership over how the role takes shape, with the support and direction of current staff and management every step of the way.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
– Provide dedicated training support for our TDA trade school Carpentry and Drywall programs.
– Support member training programs, plus School Board and SDF (Skills Development Fund) initiatives.
– Coordinate multiple training projects at once, keeping everything on track and on deadline.
– Be the go-to point of contact for participant questions — clear, friendly, and helpful every time.
– Liaise with instructors, departments, and outside organizations to keep programs running smoothly.
– Provide project support: budgets, spreadsheets, and purchasing.
– Help build the procedures and systems this new role will run on as the department grows.
WHAT YOU BRING
– Strong organizational and time-management skills — you can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– A genuine customer-service mindset and the ability to build strong, positive relationships.
– Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
– Proficiency with MS Office and presentation software, plus the ability to pick up new/custom software quickly.
– A proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to your work.
NICE TO HAVE
– Experience with project support — budgets, spreadsheets, or purchasing.
– Background or interest in construction, safety training, or education.
WHY THIS OFFICE
– A fun, relaxed, high-performing culture that values output over desk time.
– Pension and benefits after a 3-month probation period.
– 2 weeks' vacation to start.
– Real room to grow — both within this role and into new skills as our Training Department expands.
– A collaborative team where management acts as mentors, not micromanagers, and colleagues genuinely have each other's backs.
