As we grow, we are currently seeking candidates for a GSE Technician based in Edmonton, AB. This career is a part of the overall Flightcraft Team, and is an integral part of the Leadership Group within the company.
RAMP AGENT – BTW
Ramp Agents work under the direction of the Owner/Operator, Shift Lead, Supervisors, and/or Manager BTW to ensure all aspects of the aircraft handling are completed according to specific company policies and procedures. Safety, attention to detail, follow company procedures, and teamwork are key components of a Ramp Agent. They must possess verbal and written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. They must also be flexible and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort, load, unload baggage and cargo from flights.
- Service lavatories and potable water per company standards.
- Connect, disconnect ground power/bridge power from Aircraft.
- Marshall aircraft to and from gate, parking stands.
- Wingwalk arrivals and departures.
- Operate belt loaders, baggage tractors, and carts.
- Operate container loaders, dollies, and large freight related equipment.
- Complete Aircraft grooming.
- Complete Aircraft towing and/or brake riding.
- Complete daily inspection of operating equipment.
- Complete equipment deficiency reports as required.
- Snow removal, equipment cleaning, housekeeping as required.
- Attend all required training sessions and successfully complete training course.
- Actively participate in Company safety programs.
- Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner.
- Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures.
- Take direction from Ram Shift Leads/Supervisors, BTW Manager, and Owner.
- Complete customer baggage and/or cargo deliveries as required.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be able to apply and secure a RAIC
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with clean abstract.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language.
- Must have excellent team player competencies.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and/or in a team environment working varied and/or split shifts.
- Must be willing to adapt to the changing nature of aviation.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
