Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner to support construction, logistics, and material handling projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations across job sites. Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, and commercial driving is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and forklifts to move materials and perform site preparation.
- Safely handle freight and load/unload materials using appropriate machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain equipment readiness.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, or similar equipment.
- Valid licensing in commercial driving preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and automotive repair basics is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads when required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in construction, or industrial settings is a plus.
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
