Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and experience in a medical or dental office setting. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage efficient check-in/check-out procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance coverage, and follow-up care.
- Handle all scheduling, booking, and patient records using Clinic Master software.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) and update patient information as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance, and follow-up care
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage correspondence
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely delivery of patient services
- Billing & Insurance: Process patient payments and manage billings for EHC, WSIB, and MVA.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Clinic Flow & Tidiness: Assist therapists with administrative tasks, manage clinic laundry (washing, drying, folding sheets/towels), and ensure treatment rooms and common areas remain clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
- Multitasking Pro: Ability to stay organized and calm during the 4 PM – 7 PM "after-work" rush.
- Availability: Ability to work our alternating shift schedule (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM).
Experience
- Experience: Prior experience in a physiotherapy, chiropractic, or medical clinic setting is preferred.
- Service-Oriented: A professional and empathetic communication style.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information
- Office experience demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality
