We're now looking for a full-time Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator for our festival operations in the GTA. Join us as we continue our journey to becoming Canada's leading fresh-fruit dessert brand. This role will help source and purchase fresh fruit, forecast demand, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and cost efficiency. The individual will assist with deliveries, inventory coordination, and on-site setup as needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes
- Source and procure materials and products (ie. fruits) from approved vendors
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements
- Forecast demand for mall and festival sales based on past sales, weather conditions and past attendance records
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations
- Maintain communication with the Store Managers and Festival Team Leads to manage product inventory
- Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with the delivery of goods to festival sites
- Assist in the drafting of festival specific execution plans and review the plan for adequate supply of fruits and other consumables
- Other tasks as required at festival site, including setup and teardown of sales booth
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an Ontario College or University program in Supply Chain Management or a similar program is an asset
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
- Familiarity with sourcing and buying fresh fruits and other materials to support food and drinks operations
- Class G License
- Clean driving record
- Experience driving a cargo van
- Able to lift heavy load (25kg)
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
